Texas 4000 for Cancer
The Texas 4000 bicycle team came through Snyder in June of 2018. The congregation fed the team and provided a space for their presentation in the Sanctuary. The community is invited each year to unite with this group of students from The of University of Texas as they strive to raise awareness about cancer and research.
Texas 4000 was founded in 2004 and the Sierra route that travels through our area transverses the southwestern desert and climates of West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada before heading north through California, Oregon, and Washington into British Columbia and reaching Alaska. These riders will endure 70 days of intense travel by bicycle and will make stops along the way to raise awareness of their efforts to combat cancer. Please be in prayer for these young adults.
